Demonstrando confiança na vitória ainda no primeiro turno, o comitê organizador da campanha da candidata do PT à Presidência, Dilma Rousseff, reservou uma série de shows para a cerimônia de posse, no dia 1º de janeiro. Entre os artistas convidados pela candidata estão as cantoras Ana Carolina, Maria Gadú e Ângela Ro Ro.
"São mulheres fortes como ela, que levam o nome do Brasil para o mundo de uma maneira ativa, nunca passiva, como a Dilma", disse Heitor Dirceu, coordenador da parte cultural da campanha do PT. A oposição já achou no nome das cantoras um padrão que chamou de "curioso". João Losser, do comitê do tucano José Serra, apontou que todas as cantoras têm a letra "a" no nome mais de uma vez.
A candidata Marina Silva, do PV, foi mais longe e disse em entrevista que a eleição de Dilma é um retrocesso para o Brasil. "Se a Dilma ganhar, o Brasil perde a oportunidade de ter sua primeira presidente mulher", disse Marina.
